The Buccaneers are the daughters of America’s new rich — beautiful and untameable, despite the best efforts of England’s finest governesses, they are on their way to London to snare themselves an aristocrat, low in funds but high in class, to make a perfect match.
AVAWAVES is an electrifying duo of two artists whose infectious energy draws you into a universe that is mesmerising and bold. Both composers in their own right, Anna Phoebe and Aisling Brouwer come together to write music rooted in cinematic narratives, writing for screen as well as touring and performing.
Most recently, AVAWAVES composed the score for Apple TV+ drama series “The Buccaneers,” feat. Christina Hendricks, Kristine Froseth & Alisha Boe. In 2022, they wrote and released the soundtrack for the multi-award winning documentary film “Savage Waters,” for which they won ‘Best Score’ at the Richard Harris International Film Festival.
UK live performances include Royal Albert Hall, Latitude Festival and Omeara, in addition to tours and festivals around Europe. AVAWAVES are signed to One Little Independent Records, and have released two albums Waves (2019) and Chrysalis (2021). They are currently writing their third album.
“The Buccaneers” is streaming on Apple TV+.
