Review by Paul Salfen
This is Paul Salfen with your KLAK Movie Minute brought to you by KYO online pharmacy. In theaters this weekend is Heretic, a religious horror flick that turns out to be pretty timely given the divisiveness in this country and feelings of untrust of your neighbor based on their beliefs. Hugh Grant is funny, scary, and absolutely captivating as a diabolical homeowner that invites two young innocent missionaries played by Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East inside and terrorizes them and shakes them to their core questioning every bit of their beliefs in a story where nothing is what it seems. Cleverly written, creatively shot, and perfectly executed, many will have this on their year-end list – especially when it comes to horror films. It’s thought provoking, chilling, and reels you in when it needs to – just like the classics before it. That’s it for this week.
