Clive Standen is a British actor, he was born on a British Army base in Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland, and grew up in the East Midlands in England. A graduate of the London Academy of Dramatic Art (LAMDA), Clive spent years on the stage in plays like William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard and can be seen on UK television in series like Doctor Who, Camelot, and Robin Hood. He is also a fencing gold medallist and British Champion Muay Thai expert
Clive can be most recently seen in his recurring role in The Morning Show. He also recently wrapped shooting for Clear Cut opposite Alec Baldwin as well as Winter Palace for Netflix.
Clive is still known worldwide for his portrayal of Rollo Lothbrok on the critically acclaimed History Channel series Vikings. He is also known for his role on the NBC/Jerry Bruckheimer produced series Council of Dads. Previously, he starred in the NBC/EuropaCorp series Taken, based on the popular film franchise of the same name. He can also be seen in a supporting role in the Universal film Everest opposite Josh Brolin and Jake Gyllenhaal for acclaimed director Baltasar Kormakur and in a leading role opposite Matt Smith and Stanley Tucci in the Screen Gems feature Patient Zero, as well as on the independent feature Vault starring opposite Theo Rossi and Samira Wiley, and in a show-stealing role in Russell Mulcahey’s In Like Flynn.
