Severance is an American science fiction psychological thriller streaming television series created by Dan Erickson and directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle. It stars Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Jen Tullock, Dichen Lachman, Michael Chernus, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette. The plot follows Mark (Scott), an employee of Lumon Industries who agrees to a “severance” program in which his non-work memories are separated from his work memories.


Theodore Michael Shapiro is an American composer. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Brown University in 1993, followed by a Master of Fine Arts in music composition from the Juilliard School in 1995. He is best known for his film scores, particularly for the comedies 13 Going on 30, Along Came Polly, The Devil Wears Prada, Idiocracy, Wet Hot American Summer, Tropic Thunder, Dinner for Schmucks and the animated film The Pirates! Band of Misfits. He has also written other orchestral works.
