Interview by Paul Salfen
Coming off the performance at the Eurojam 24 at the Whiskey a Go Go in Los Angeles, Andry talks about her new release “Skies.”
Former runner-up on The Voice of Greece and front-woman on The Harps, ANDRY decided to embark on her solo career by releasing her full-length debut album “Skies.” The title track, “Skies” starts the album off with a bang, and is followed by tracks such as “Mistress of The Night”, and “Black Hole”, encompassing fast-paced, hard rock, and metal style, with textures of blues, heightened by her powerful booming vocals. “Skies” truly encapsulates ANDRY’s diverse style and artistic range, and tells a story of her musical career. Andry’s “SKIES” just reached number 19 on the “Top 30 Heavy Charts”
Mixed by sound wizard Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Winery Dogs, Steel Panther), “Skies” features contributions from Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, Winery Dogs, David Lee Roth), Mike Lepond (Symphony X), Russell Gilbrook (Uriah Heep) and Stephen Platt (Devin Townsend).
The album not only features diverse sonic textures showcasing the best of ANDRY, but it also tells an emotional story of her journey thus far.
Andry will return for the most anticipated event of the year, ROCK FOR RONNIE “Year of the Dragon” Concert Celebration on Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 11 AM to 6 PM. “An afternoon of rock music and fun for the entire family, taking place at a new location, the Lou Bredlow Pavilion at Warner Center Park in Woodland Hills, CA.
