Tinja, a 12-year-old gymnast desperate to please her mother, a woman obsessed with presenting the image of a perfect family to the world through her popular blog. One night, Tinja discovers a strange egg. She hides it and keeps it warm until it hatches. What emerges is beyond belief.
Hanna Bergholm is a Finnish film director. She graduated in 2009 from the University of Art and Design Helsinki with an MA in Film Directing. Her debut feature film Hatching had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2022. Previously she directed internationally awarded short films and also TV drama series. Her short horror film Puppet Master was selected to several international film festivals including Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal 2018, Fantastic Fest in Austin 2018, and also to the MoMA Museum of Modern Art New York 2019.
