With over six million followers across her social media platforms singer/actress Havanna Winter is a bona fide influencer that is sharing her musical talent with a new single and video. She recently debuted her new single “Tornado,” a powerful song close to her heart co-written with Maya K (Bebe Rexha, Anita, J Balvin) inspired by a toxic relationship with a manipulator. In the video which debuts on July 14, the story unfolds in a Wizard of Oz fantasy with Winter portraying Dorothy as she goes on an adventure in her mind to escape her ex-boyfriend. She dreams herself away from her heartbroken reality to the land of Oz where she reunites with the close friends that she neglected during the relationship. As they travel down the yellow brick road, they embark on a journey to find themselves and each other again. Inspired by filmmakers Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez and Tim Burton, Havannas’s musical vision is to create a cinematic experience for every song release – and she does just that in Tornado. Her mother, Anette Winter, served as the creative director.
“Wonderwall Records is our new imprint that focuses more on the Pop side of music,” says Van Zandt. “ I’m thrilled that we are showcasing the music of such a talented emerging young artist like Havanna.”
Born in Oslo and spending summers in Spain, Winter moved to the U.S. when she was nine-years-old. Her international background living between three countries undoubtedly adds to her global appeal.
