LOS ANGELES, CA (APRIL 7, 2023) – Ignite Films, the Dutch company formed in 2005 by Jan Willem Bosman Jansen, will celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Invaders From Mars, their first title released under the Ignite Films label, throughout April and May with weekly out-of-this-world goings-on. Plans include Special Screenings in Los Angeles and New York on April 9. Today, Ignite Films launched the DVD release of the award-winning restoration, along with fun and exciting new collectible merchandise.

The restored Invaders From Mars DVD, which was released today, is the newest format available from Ignite Films. The 4K UHD and the Blu-ray versions were released in January 2023 to universally rave reviews from film fans, UHD connoisseurs, and critics, alike. The response to the love and attention to detail given to the restoration has been overwhelmingly positive. The restoration process was spearheaded by renowned film preservationist Scott MacQueen, former Head of Preservation at the UCLA Film & Television Archive. MacQueen and Jansen, of Ignite Films, literally scoured the planet to locate any and all materials to help ensure the restoration was as complete and true to the original as humanly possible. The Ignite Films motto, “Classics for the Future,” is true to its word, because now Invaders From Mars will be available in this near pristine restored version for future generations to enjoy.
