Platinum-selling DJ and producer Erick Morillo has unveiled his latest release, ‘Cocoon’, a club-ready production made in collaboration with Andrew Cole and Kylee Katch. Kylee gave AMFM Magazine this exclusive interview about the making of the song and video “Cocoon.”
Eric Morillo, Andrew Cole and Kylee Katch teamed up for the floaty, dreamy song which premiered on EDM Sauce two weeks ago. Cole and Katch wrote the song, and this is Morillo’s second collaboration with Katch after “No End” climbed the charts last year. The video is directed by Tim Madden and choreographed by Richard Tanumi.
The video focuses on silky songstress Kylee Katch, and her sultry dance of freedom through an open field. ”Cocoon” released on Erick’s seminal label, “Subliminal” and follows the success of his 2017 Kryder collab, “Waves.”
Laced with the warm, seductive tones that Erick has become famed for over the years, the track inherits a deeper mix from Morillo’s lifelong friend and fellow producer Harry Romero.
Andrew Cole is known for “Colourblind,” that hit #11 in the Billboard Charts, and an anti-bullying documentary called No Joke which features among others Jeff Goldblum, Sir Patrick Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne, Slash, Andrew W.K., Steve Vai, Cedric The Entertainer, Sharon Osbourne, Lights and Jane Lynch.
“Cocoon” is available on Spotify, Beatport and iTunes.
